Micro-connection businesses consolidated

Miyachi, based in Tokyo, has announced that it is consolidating its micro-connection businesses under a single corporation to serve the European market.

"Miyachi Europe will unify the Miyachi, Miyachi Peco, Miyachi Unitek, and Unitek Eapro product ranges to provide a single source for micro-resistance welding, laser welding, and laser marking as well as hot-bar soldering and heat-seal bonding", says Susumu Ueda, managing director - Europe. "By consolidating the European businesses we are providing customers with easier access to the most advanced micro-connection technologies. This will enable them to combine different technologies while reducing their vendor base." The company operates in the United Kingdom from a facility in Derby. "The change in approach to serving the European market will enable us to become even more in touch with customers and their requirements", says Dave Fawcett, regional sales director.
