Locknuts for critical applications
SPS Technologies supplies high-strength fasteners for commercial and military aircraft, jet engines and other applications requiring reliability and uniformity.
The company's Aerospace Fasteners Group has just announced the availability of large diameter locknuts for use in critical applications, which will come in diameters from 7/8 in to 6 in diameters. Customers can choose between hex, 12 point, spline, castellated, and full and thin height FLEXLOCR all-metal self-locking configurations.
Available materials include carbon and alloy steels, corrosion resistant steel, brass, aluminium and superalloys for high temperature and corrosion resistant applications. The company says that product engineers, supported by an experience staff, are available to offer technical assistance in fastener design and material selection.
