Lightweight hinge delivers double the torque
A constant torque position control hinge, recently introduced by Southco, allows the user to hold a door or panel securely at any desired angle, and delivers twice as much torque to support larger, heavier items.
The E6-600 constant torque hinge is manufactured from lightweight aluminium which can handle the increased torque required in applications where heavier doors and other items need to be held securely.
Southco's E6 class positioning hinges provide constant resistance throughout its range, it is claimed. The products deliver reliable positioning and consistent operating efforts as they are preset during the manufacturing process and then guaranteed for performance without adjustment for the lifetime of the application.
