Hotmelt polyamide is new to the UK

The Macromelt range from Henkel provides an extensive range of thermoplastic hotmelt polyamide materials to meet a variety of specific requirements, such as cable and strain relief, encapsulation of small PCBs, sensors, switches, terminals and antennae. Compared to more traditional 2K potting compounds, the key advantages of Macromelt overmoulding include its shorter cycle times – between 10 and 50 seconds – and it is less aggressive nature on fragile components. And since there is no longer any need for a separately produced housing, there are savings in total production costs to be achieved in most cases.
