Dymax launches LED spot-curing system

1 min read

The Dymax BlueWave QX4 V2.0 LED spot curing system provides high-intensity spot-curing technology, a compact size, and curing versatility, it says.

The system is comprised of a controller with a foot switch and up to four LED heads. Each head is available in 365, 385, and 405nm and can be operated in unison with others or independently. The LEDs are installed directly at the end of the heads, allowing for precise light delivery. Additionally, mounting the heads close to components enables 360° cures of hard-to-reach areas on complex components.

Each spot curing system can be outfitted with either 3-, 5-, or 8-mm diameter focusing lenses. LED heads and focusing lenses can be used in any combination and controlled via the system's variable mode. With this function, intensity and cycle times can be programmed individually for each head. Individual exposure times and intensity settings can be set to 1% increments, giving users maximum curing flexibility.

In addition to the curing flexibility, the BlueWave QX4 V2.0 also features a control touch screen interface with the capacity to store up to 20 programs. The unit can be activated via a foot pedal or via a PLC interface and can therefore be easily integrated into automated systems.

The complete BlueWave QX4 V2.0 LED curing system is comprised of a controller/power supply with a foot switch and up to four LED heads/wands. A lens will need to be ordered for each head in order to function properly. The length of the head with the direct wired cable is 1.5 m (end to end). The components are available separately.
