Custom design service

EMKA is promoting the resources of its 'Corporate Design Team' which is available at the company to meet the requirements of customers who want "something different - something special".

Managing director Andy Billingham points out that for those who wish to add their own identity to a project or for large jobs where the customer wants particular features "EMKA is able to draw on a number of specialist enclosure furniture technologies to fulfil these needs.

"Enhanced functionality and aesthetics can be achieved with customisation of existing products or start-from-scratch original designs. Locks and handles tend to be the subject of such individual design projects, but hinges also often need to be custom-made. The Corporate Design Team can draw on the resources of international manufacturing in plastics, die-cast, fabricated metals, forming, injection moulding, stainless steel, and associated processes."

Andy Billingham also states that by working in close co-operation with a customer's own design team "significant advances in locks, handles, and hinges can be produced to offer easier use, improved performance, and co-ordinated styling"
