Anixter promotes from within

UK plastic and metal fasteners supplier Anixter Component Solutions, has appointed Andrew Fletcher as its new managing director with immediate effect. He has been promoted to the position from his prior role as technical director.
Fletcher has been with Anixter Component Solutions since 1994, when the company was Heyco Ltd. Joining as a Technical Sales Engineer, he was quickly promoted to technical manager, progressing to technical director in 2000. In this role he had overall responsibility for product specifications, design, development, marketing and company literature production.
Fletcher's background as a student of engineering and polymer science has served him well in his work at Anixter Components. Summing up his new position, he commented: "In this role I'm aiming to bring a clear and focused drive to further enhance Anixter's high levels of customer service, and to continue to supply superior quality components, reinforcing Anixter's position as a market leading technical distributor".
