Aluminium-spring hinges feature concealed mechanism

1 min read

Spring hinges for industrial applications are normally quite unattractive and difficult to fit.

But Pinet Industrie tells us it has launched a family of attractively-designed aluminium profile spring hinges with high performance characteristics combined with an invisible mechanism so unlike most products of this type, they do not show their spring. The hinges enable a door or panel to open or close automatically and offer different spring torques to adapt to different door weights and dimensions. They are corrosion-resistant and are engineered so that there is no play in the hinge. The design is enhanced with a choice of finish in anodised clear or black. The family is part of a complete range of hinges that have the same design and footprint but also have other functional characteristics, such as friction and hardness enabling different functions to be provided smoothly in the same piece of equipment. They will be used for doors or panels, horizontally and vertically, in applications such as machine tools, automation equipment, metal furniture and medical equipment. The new Pinet catalogue is now available but the company is happy to develop specials for customers unable to find a satisfactory solution off-the-shelf.
