Adhesives intended for food contact materials and articles.

A guide to the legal food contact status of adhesives intended for food contact materials and articles has been posted to the BASA website in the members' area/guidance.

It applies to adhesives applied by an appropriate process to any material or article intended to come into contact with food. Members can log into the BASA site at www.basaonline.co.uk and download this important guide. Other guidance documents in the public area of the site include the FEICA Report on the European market for adhesives and sealants performed by CHEM Research, a glossary of acronyms commonly used by the adhesives and sealants industry and the BASA Guide to the Safe Handling of Adhesives. These are just three useful guides which can be downloaded as PDFs from the BASA site. The British sealants and Adhesives Association will be at the IASE Exhibition, 21st October 2010, National Motorcycle Museum Birmingham.
