Leading adhesives tapes manufacturer tesa has achieved another first after receiving DIN CERTCO certification for its product range.

tesa achieved this certification for its tesafilm eco & clear and tesapack eco & strong range of tapes and claims it is the first tapes manufacturer to do so. The 'DIN-certified recycled content' certification seal was achieved through audits and reviews of material flows, with independent experts examining and evaluating the recycled content of the products. Manufacturing processes were controlled on-site and according to strict DIN guidelines for ecological products and the plastics used during the production of the products were found to be 100% recycled material and environmentally friendly. The certification seal recognises tesa's commitment to recycling, which has been an integral part of its product manufacturing for many years and with a voluntarily implemented certification process, the company has moved one step nearer greater sustainability and consumer responsibility, a company statement suggested. The DIN CERTCO certification is recognised nationally and internationally and offers consumers valuable guidance in the selection of a professional and environmentally friendly adhesive tape. tesa says it became a pioneer for the 'green wave' in the paper, office and stationery sector with the introduction of its ecoLogo range in 2010. This offered a range of solvent-free adhesive rollers, adhesive films, packing tapes, glue sticks and correction rollers using mainly recycled materials that meet the high standards of both the industry and the consumer.
