On a Mission!

Mission Motorsport is run by veterans, serving officers and motorsport professionals - and the work they do is invaluable

They are appointed as the Combined Services’ official providers of adaptive motorsport, seeking wherever possible to merge the activities of the disabled and those in need with able bodied servicemen and women.

Appointed by the British Army Motorsport Association, and operating in direct support of the Defence Recovery Capability, Mission Motorsport provides respite, rehabilitation, vocational support and training to those affected by military operations within the framework of Motorsport.

Desoutter Tools UK decided that this was a cause worth supporting, the end result being that a number of quality Desoutter pneumatic tools were donated to Mission Motor Sports workshop/training facility.

Upon follow-up, general industry business line manager Scott Howard of Desoutter received the following feedback from Mission Motorsports Tony Compson: “One of the most popular tools is the Desoutter Impact Wrench, seen here being used on one of our MX5 race cars by 'Mac', whose past life was in bomb disposal, but now is being trained here at Mission Motorsport to become a motor mechanic.

"Quality tools are a vital part of delivering the training; gaining industry-recognised qualifications opens up new careers and genuinely changes lives."
