Worn threads can be repaired without special tools
Solid Camloc Keenserts enable a misplaced hole to be repositioned or an odd thread size to be repaired without the need for special taps and gauges.
They have the same solid configuration and external thread sizes as internally threaded Keenserts using standard drills and taps for the hole preparation with the external locking kees ensuring positive retention in the parent material.
Available now from Specialty Fasteners & Components (SFC), the inserts can be drilled and tapped either prior to, or post installation with their stainless steel construction preventing corrosion.
After installation they perform as a standard inserft and can be used in bolted joints subjected to high loads and vibration with repeated assembly and dis-assembly.
