The UK Division of global fastening giant EJOT has now successfully extended download availability to its free and comprehensive 'Product Selection APP', which was initially developed solely for iPad and iPad Mini – now making it accessible to PC and Android users.
The APP has been created to match EJOT's core range of thread-forming products to appropriate key assembly substrates, presenting Design Engineers with the opportunity to explore new high strength assembly scenarios, whilst at the same time introducing significant bottom line savings.
For thermoplastics and thermoset assemblies, the new APP presents EJOT Delta PT® and Delta PT® DS. Both fastener types are derivatives from the original EJOT PT® fastener that is credited with revolutionising plastic assemblies.
For sheet material assembly joints, the APP presents a route to variants of the EJOT FDS® (Flow Drilling Screw) and the EJOT SHEETtracs® screw. Here, product selection is influenced by thin sheet materials and the alternative assembly techniques to be employed.
For cast materials and extrusions the product selection route presents either EJOT Spiralform® or EJOT Altracs Plus® as an engineered option.
Each EJOT product is supported by clear design specifications and an overview of the science that sits behind EJOT's thread-forming capability. Also included are concise installation animations.
Once a potential specification route has been identified by the design engineer, EJOT is able to provide extensive Project Support to the customer via its UK based technical team and the Group’s application technology capability in over 30 countries around the world.
The APP is now available for IOS and Android operating systems for table and smartphone by simply searching for “EJOT Industrial” at appropriate APP Stores.
