Tamper-proof system exerts tight control

Tanlock is a centralised, tamper-proof latching and locking system. It is specifically for data centres and other security-sensitive applications. The system enables the control, monitoring and administering of an unlimited number of enclosures from just one computer.

There is said to be no increasing complexity, even with hundreds of locks installed, but rather only one, trusted device connected to the network. It is reported that it “integrates perfectly into corporate networks by consequently using standards”. That would enable users to put one trusted device in stock and use this for widely varying applications, such as: server racks; machine control cabinets; filing cabinets; and outdoor racks.

“Each handle has its own configurable address, current status and all warning messages can be monitored easily from the control station,” according to FATH.
