Push to close, multi-point latch actuation, wing head knob style and flush cup are just some of the many variants which make Southco E5 Cam latches so versatile, widely used and trusted. Many ‘me too’ versions have come on the market over recent years, but Southco continues to maintain a superior level of manufacture, features and quality which separate their products from even the best of the rest.
A recent extension to the range is the Flush Face E5 Cam Latch. The tool recess on this version sits flush to the face of the latch leaving a clean look which prevents dirt and other unwanted material from gathering. Only when a key is introduced does the latch shutter retract, allowing the latch to be operated in the normal fashion. An added benefit of this new design is that the shutter remains depressed until the latch is firmly in the closed position. When the shutter is flush once again the cam is locked into position and cannot work open owing to vibration, making it ideal for high vibration or transport applications.
E5 Flush face Cam latches are currently available manufactured in zinc with 7 & 8 triangle, & square and Bellcore 216 recesses. Finishes are bright chrome or black powder coat.
