The HFHB busbar range of self-clinching studs from PEM is stated to provide solutions for applications that demand superior electrical/mechanical attachment points in copper.
"They are phosphor-bronze externally threaded fasteners and offer twice the conductivity of conventional carbon steel studs", says PEM's Michael Rossi.
The RoHS-compliant studs install permanently into copper sheets down to 1.3mm and offer push-out values to 560lb and torque-out values to 18ft.lb depending on fastener thread size and thickness of the copper sheet. "Improved pull-through resistance is promoted by the large head design which allows the stud's head to project above the sheet material and distribute the axial tightening force over a wide area."
Thread sizes range from M5 to M10; the studs can be specified in lengths up to 50mm.
Meet PEM at the forthcoming Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition on April 30th.
