Push-pull fasteners
A range of case-hardened spring steel clips that can be snapped into circular holes from the front of a framework or riveted to the framework is available from Savigny Oddie.
"These push-pull fasteners offer a secure positive action concealed fastener", reports Chris Healey. "Clips that snap in to circular holes are particularly suitable for use on square tubular frames where mounting a receptacle in to the frame would not be possible."
