Orbital spin riveter

Bifurcated & Tubular Rivet has added an orbital spin riveter to its range.

"It can perform a variety of tasks and, with suitable tools, can flare, flange, join, or swage", says general manager Alec Jackson. "Spin riveting is far quieter than general impact riveting; tool changes and set-up times are faster - in less than five minutes." Another benefit is that the adjustment of timing and the force and stroke length of the riveter is precise and stepless. "This enables consistent results of high quality with the minimum of operator skills." Additional tooling enables repeatable settings for multiple applications on the same machine. Bench-mounting is standard; however, a pedestal mount is available. Tooling accessories for reaching difficult-to-access parts can be provided together with tool-locking devices for notching and marking. An optional pressure pad is offered to hold component assemblies during riveting.
