Combining an elongation at break of 180% with a tensile strength of 10 N/cm, the tape’s high strength creates a durable bond that significantly reduces the chances of tearing or breakage during application.
The tackified acrylic adhesive, with its UV, water and ageing resistance as well as excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates including steel, ABS, aluminium, PET and PVC, makes it particularly well suited to tough outdoor applications across a diverse range of mounting operations.
Jeremy Smith, Marketing Manager for tesa UK commented, “tesa® 62510 offers companies in various sectors a powerful solution for constructive bonding that creates new possibilities for innovative mounting designs through promoting new combinations of materials, enhancing the end result and delivering a more efficient means of processing.”
Tests conducted by TÜV Rheinland confirmed tesa® 62510’s long term adhesion performance after IEC 61215 climate tests and an 85˚C temperature resistance.
