The new site has primarily been developed to facilitate the expansion of the distributor’s online shopping cart.
Encouraged by the success of the smaller-scale E-Shop it had in operation, managing director John Henderson commissioned the creation of a fully integrated e-commerce site, incorporating the entire Ellsworth Adhesives product range. He explains: “The convenience of online shopping is undeniable and being able to place an order, at any time of day and at the click of a button, has become a necessity, rather than a luxury. While it was useful to offer online shopping on our core range of products, we wanted to offer our customers a wider choice. Now visitors to our new website can order almost every one of our products online – whether they are made-to-order or in stock.”
It is no small feat for Ellsworth to offer online shopping on its full range, since this includes over 3,500 products. The creation of the website has seen the distributor’s product portfolio completely updated and a host of new products added, including dispensing consumables from Fisnar, electronics materials from Lord Corporation, and epoxy and polyurethane resins from Robnor ResinLab.
Alongside the improvement of the online shopping facility, visitors to the website will notice a fresh new look and a series of enhanced features, said the company. “Search and navigation is more user friendly on the new site. The search bar function uses advanced technology to return results that are more accurate and useful, while filters and categories have been revised to help users easily narrow their search and find what they are looking for as quickly as possible.”
