High-strength fasteners
At the Fastening & Assembly Solutions exhibition at the RAF Museum, Cosford, on 30 April, BAS Components will be featuring its range of high-strength fasteners, Flangeform and SPAC (self-pierce and clinch) products, and AVK blind threaded inserts.
The company also will be promoting the fact that it builds and commissions automated feeding systems for both Flangeform and SPAC, reports David Peasant, BAS. "Automated feeding of these products directly in to the die can lead to process cost savings of up to 50%.
"The SPAC nuts are available from M6 to M14 sizes and are suitable for use in thin-gauge, high-strength material and aluminium. They also are suited for use in applications involving materials up to 9mm thick."
Particularly highlighted at the event will be the P stud for use with plastic, and the Flangeform closed-end nut which prevents water ingress.
In addition, BAS will be promoting its new sourcing service for non-proprietary fasteners and 'specials'.
