Handles and knobs
Elesa has announced the introduction of a range of ESD-compatible standard machine components, including the M443 grab handle and three variants of the BT fluted grip knob.
"Primary uses are expected to be in the field of electronic assembly; for example, chip insertion equipment, printed circuit board test, and sub-assembly handling equipment", says Elesa's Nigel Pritchett. "In these areas the products' ability to deal with the build-up of electrostatic charge is especially important."
The M443-ESD grab handle is offered in 107mm and 134mm sizes in black. The BT fluted grip knob - also black - has female or male fixings as well as an open-ended insert option which allows it to be installed at an intermediate position on a threaded shaft. Sizes for these knobs are from 16mm outside diameter to 32mm outside diameter with thread fixings of M5 to M10.
