Five-lobe grip knobs
Developed for use in harsh environments such as food processing and marine, the VC range of five-lobe grip knobs for clamping, locating, and fixing has been extended by Elesa.
"The company's capability in plating glass reinforced polyamide technopolymer has led to the introduction of a semi-glass chrome version", reports Nigel Pritchett.
"A cost-effective alternative to stainless steel for many applications, the VC.692-CR features an optimal grip for the fingers and operators while preventing the build up of residue. The is due to its solid form without external cavities. Now, with a chrome-plated finish the surface is metallically smooth to facilitate cleaning operations."
The surface of the product is stated to be resistant to wear, scrapes, and shocks. It is suited to use on machines and equipment whose parts require frequent cleaning cycles with water sprays or steam for reasons of hygiene. Sizes are from 32mm to 60mm; mounting is by M6, M8, or M10 blind insert.
