The two-component, optically clear, low viscosity system features high thermal stability, superior electrical insulation properties, and dimensional stability for casting, sealing, potting, encapsulation, and impregnation applications says Master Bond's James Brenner. Especially highlighted by the company are the system's mechanical properties - 12,100lb/in² in tensile strength, 17,200lb/in² in compressive strength. The product cures to a tough and strong solid with excellent long-term durability and chemical resistance, says James Brenner, "even when exposed to adverse environmental conditions. There is no cracking or separation of properly cured EP121CL resin for metal, glass, etc. over a wide temperature range." It can be used in optical and fibre-optic applications.
