The team at Coachman needed a more efficient product to replace a wet adhesive they were using to bond caravan roofs and window seams as the lengthy drying time involved was slowing them down (for up to 72 hours in some instances) so they needed our help.
Mr Kershaw, Coachman Caravans' design manager, explained: "We needed something that could help us get an instant grab, which the wet adhesive doesn't have. After approaching 3M and Viking, the project has both enhanced and streamlined the manufacturing process."
Craig Smith, our very own technical specialist, worked together with 3M's regional sales representative Glen Matthews to decipher which product would be the most appropriate for the job. We suggested that Coachman use 3M VHB double-sided high bond foam tapes for bonding the roofs and window seams.
Craig explains: "It is proving a far more professional, quicker and cost-effective process, which is great news for us and the team at Coachman."
