Adhesives and sealants

The tapes and adhesives portfolio of 3M has been extended by the addition of the Rite-Lok range of adhesives and sealants.

Included are an anaerobic adhesive, described as a high-performance, single-component engineering adhesive that cures in the absence of air and in the presence of metal parts; an invisible bonder that polymerises when exposed to ultra-violet light; and a cyanoacrylate adhesive - a high-specification, solvent-free single-component adhesive "that exhibits high tensile and shear strengths", says marketing executive Stefan Cubitt. "It bonds a wide variety of substrates and can be used with manual and automated dispensing equipment."

The Rite-Lok range is expected to find use by original equipment manufacturers and in the maintenance and repair markets in the automotive, electronics, medical, and general industrial sectors.

Come and meet the 3M tapes and adhesives experts at the forthcoming Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition at the RAF Museum Cosford on April 30th.
