Acrylic and threadlocking adhesives
Henkel has introduced Loctite 3038, a two-component structural acrylic adhesive that has been formulated to join difficult-to-bond substrates to themselves and to other materials, including those with different coefficients of thermal expansion.
"This means that it provides good adhesion on e-coated steel as well as on low-energy plastics", says Henkel's Colin Chapman.
The company also has recently launched Loctite 278, a high-strength threadlocking adhesive that is tolerant to oil and resistant to elevated temperatures. Dispensing systems for the quick and easy application of its adhesives and sealants also are offered by Henkel, as well as standard dispensing units and bespoke equipment to meet specific production requirements.
