A sound sleep without solvents
In keeping with their strong presence in the foam and mattress bonding sector, Chemique Adhesives and Sealants has launched a hot melt adhesive for the bonding of pocket springs in mattresses.
Protak 201 answers the needs of a growing market requiring the replacement of solvents and flammable adhesives on environmental grounds. The application is where individual springs are fabricated and heat sealed into fabric pockets, for the production of bed mattresses. There is hence a requirement for both flexibility and fast setting speeds.
Protak 201 has been developed to produce tough flexible bonds with the ideal viscosity for application by jet. The adhesive is pale amber in colour, has a low odour and available in pastille form. The material is part of the Protak Hot Melt range of adhesives offering a range of different grades for the woodworking, foam and mattress bonding, packaging and book binding industries.
