Southco has expanded its Captive Screw offering with a low profile version designed for applications where installation space is extremely limited. The 52 Miniature Captive Screw Low Profile series features a 25% reduction in installation height compared with Southco’s standard 52 Miniature series, enabling captive fastening in the tightest spaces.
The new 52 Low Profile series is available with a metal finish and with an over-molded head that acts as a visual indicator for access points, enabling the designer to designate access through an array of standard and custom color options. The 52 Low Profile series is available with press-in and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) options that provide versatility for fastening and unfastening. Combination tool-operated recesses and hand-tightened knurled head options provide versatility when mounting doors, panels and other hardware components in limited space applications.
