Success in the southwest

The success of the recent FAST and IASE exhibitions at the Haynes International Motoring Museum near Yeovil demonstrated exactly why and how UK manufacturing industry is often seen as the engine pulling us out of recession.

The brilliant ingenuity and lateral thought demonstrated by exhibitors was once again reflected in the comments of visitors. Innovative fasteners from clips to thread forms and from rivets to adhesives were mainstream of course, but the most valuable 'thing' there was the intellectual problem solving capability of the engineers staffing the exhibition stands. This valuable resource was put at the disposal of visitors who often presented highly challenging problems – not least of which being 'how can I do this more cost-efficiently – and better!' On October 20th later this year, the FAST and IASE exhibitions will again take place at the highly popular National Motorcycle Museum adjacent to the NEC – with free parking and other benefits to pre-registered visitors such as a complimentary hot bacon roll and brew for early starters! Entry to both exhibitions is free. One registration provides a badge valid for both events and pre-registration can be done online.
