Staytite celebrates 30 years in the fastening business

Established in 1978, Staytite is a family-owned business with 30 years experience and expertise in industrial fastening applications.

The company trades from a purpose built industrial headquarters in High Wycombe and supplies a broad range of sectors including the automotive, aerospace, hand tool, white goods, electronics and telecommunications industries. In celebration of this significant milestone, the company has announced the acquisition of Andover based fastener company Portafix by parent company Staytite Holdings. Managing Director Andrew Black says that the acquisition will enable Staytite to build on its technical fastener expertise and experience, by combining the logistical and 'C' class components capabilities of Portafix. Since its inception, Portafix has built up a reputation that has made it first choice for locally purchased fasteners and fixings. The product range has grown and now includes both standard and special fasteners, 'C' class components, packaging, tools and PPE. The company has also become experienced in Kanban just-in-time deliveries and supplying custom kitting to its vast customer base. Last year Staytite spotted increased demand for its products in the Far East, as a result opened a logistics centre in Hong Kong. This new base has let the company offer next working day deliveries to China, which is an ever increasing market for Staytite. Come and meet Staytite at the Fastening & Assembly Solutions Exhibition, 11th March 2010, at the RAF Museum Hendon.
