Soft-close dampening hinges for shelters

Several new products have been launched in Pinet's latest catalogue including a soft close hinge and a door hinge with nylon washers, which are both used in an exterior enclosure application.
Pinet's soft-close dampening lift-off hinge has been validated by a customer which produces shelters for waste containers and uses the product to keep a shelter lid from slamming shut.
This shelter is made of two lids on the top side, which have to be manually lifted in order to put the waste inside. To avoid a sudden drop of the lid, Pinet's customer decided to use the soft-close dampening flag hinges from the new catalogue. Another Pinet hinge, this time with nylon washers is also used on the shelter, enabling the front doors to open.
Three other types of soft-close dampening hinges are available in the 2014 catalogue. Products are available in stainless steel, aluminium or plastic and several options are available to provide soft-close solutions in a variety of industrial applications.
