Ambitious young motorcycle racer Ryan McAdam is being part-sponsored by tesa as he pursues his goal of podium finishes in this year's competitions.

Competing in the opening round of the Bridgestone Supertwins and Aprilla RRV450 Challenge at Brands Hatch. Ryan showed impressive progress through qualifying and race conditions, despite a spectacular crash at the famous Clearways corner. Walking away with both rider and bike relatively unscathed was a big bonus as were the weekend's lap times, which improved by a dramatic 2.4 seconds from 54.64 to 52.290. tesa is supporting Ryan through the supply of its products. Fresh from Olympic Gold triumph as one of Lizzy Yarnold's sponsors on the Skeleton Bob, the company is providing products such as tesa duct tapes, fleece cable harnessing tapes and the like which have excellent tensile strength and adhesion, even on rough surfaces. In the world of performance sport they are used across a range of applications from improving grip and aerodynamics on the skeleton bob to emergency repairs on race fairings and bodywork, and locating wiring clusters. tesa also supplies a significant amount of its single-sided medium-density black PVC foam tape to the motorsport community where its gap filling capacity is used to good effect in protecting against dust, weather and air ingress. Ryan McAdam is the latest convert to the benefits of tesa tapes within the ranks of professional motorsport and with support from his sponsors and a driving ambition he seems set to succeed.
