Reusable blind fasteners feature at FAST Live Exhibition

1 min read

Visitors seeking reusable blind fastening solutions at the forthcoming FAST Live Exhibition at IWM Duxford on 20 September will find much of interest on the Bollhoff Fastenings stand.

Amongst an array of fastening products, the company will be showing its RIVKLE range of blind rivet nuts and studs, as recently specified to secure the hand and foot holds on climbing walls. These walls will now be in great demand worldwide, as participants prepare for the sport to be included in the next Olympic Games for the first time.

Specified worldwide by engineers needing a resilient load-bearing blind fastener, and one which is especially suitable for use in thin-walled materials, the RIVKLE family offers a combination of advantages. Included amongst these are fast installation and instant cost reduction in many applications. The company states that, unlike welded nuts or studs, the RIVKLE solution leaves zero distortion of the surface material when the fastener is mounted, often a vital consideration in thin-walled use. Bollhoff also says that the RIVKLE solution requires less energy to execute the installation process and that, because it produces no fumes, is a cleaner option on the factory floor, too.

Available in steel, stainless steel and aluminium versions to offer designers real choices, including light weight and corrosion resistance, RIVKLE fasteners can also be specified in Sealcote form to provide a watertight and gas tight seal upon installation.

In addition to discussing the range of RIVKLE fasteners at The FAST Live Exhibition, visitors can also learn more about the capabilities of Bollhoffs’ extensive range of installation tooling for the product, ranging from simple hand-held battery powered devices for low-volume production, up to fully automated installation processes and lines, as used by many major OEMs across the UK and Europe.
