Advanex has confirmed that it will be opening a new factory in Czech Republic during August 2018.

The new purpose-built 8,500 sq m facility will be located on CT Park, Prague Airport, and employ up to 60 full-time employees.

The new factory comes as part of its ambitious growth plans that will focus on increasing turnover to more than €38m (£30m) by 2020. As a leading supplier of precision components, the new factory will be largely focused on manufacturing deep drawn microsprings and plastic over moulding components. These components will be targeted at new and existing markets for Advanex, which will include automotive, aerospace, medical, pharmaceutical, office automation, transport and construction.

Advanex is working closely with CTP Partnership in Prague to ensure that the project management of the new factory runs seamlessly. The new factory will be over 2 floors and have state of the art machinery and production lines. The team will embark upon a recruitment drive to employ a team of highly skilled and qualified people. This will involve recruiting a variety of roles, including senior managers, engineers, designers, operatives and other production roles.

Steve Antcliff, director for Advanex Czech Republic, stated: “We are proud to be launching our new factory as part of our 5-year multi-million pound investment strategy to grow the business. Czech Republic is an excellent location for us, with a growing economy, highly skilled labour market and well-developed infrastructure. CT Park will give us great access to our customer base and will provide an effective distribution network across the globe. We are confident that our years of expertise in designing and manufacturing components can add significant value to OEM’s and other manufacturers.”

The opening of the new factory will be celebrated with a launch event during August 2018. This will be the ideal opportunity to meet the teams and understand how the new operation will work.
