Composite plastic springs offer the benefits of being non-magnetic and inert to most industrial chemicals. Where weight considerations are primary, then plastic composite construction offers a high strength-to-weight ratio, with exceptional performance in low mass.
This makes them suitable for a wide range of applications, such as aerospace, where light weight is at a premium.
“LeeP springs are manufactured in Ultem PEI (polyetherimide) resin, which has excellent thermal stability and electrical insulation properties, while being non-contaminating,” stated the company.
“They have low flammability and are recyclable in compliance with global regulations, including RoHS and REACH. The complete spring is a complete supply package.”
The springs are available in red, orange, yellow, green and violet, in ascending order of strength.
