Investing in factory machinery

Robnor Resins tells us it is continuing to defy the poor economic climate by posting record sales at the start of 2013. The company is also expanding its manufacturing capacity.

As part of its continual improvement strategy, Robnor completed commissioning of a Netzch vacuum mixer which will improve capacity by over 200 tons per year. This significant investment of over €60,000 will, once additional labour has been recruited, significantly reduce lead time and improve quality. The machine has a 600 litre heated mixing vessel, programmable speed and time with and additional reciprocating head and in situ vacuum to 10 mbar. Drew Warren, managing director suggested: "Robnor's continual improvement strategy has seen the company continue to invest in mixing equipment to increase output. We are always striving to reduce lead times and this new mixer will give us an extra 200 tons per year."
