Interfast plans Chinese partnership
Canadian headquartered Interfast has signed a letter of intent to create a joint venture company with China's AVIC International Zhuhai Company that will supply specialised fasteners and hardware, fastening systems, and value-added services to the growing aerospace market in China and the Asia-Pacific Rim.
The announcement was made in Hong Kong near the 2011 Asian Aerospace International Expo and Conference.
AVIC International Zhuhai Co. is a state-owned enterprise, whose parent company (AVIC) has been in charge of China's aerospace programmes related to high-quality aerospace research and development and manufacturing. Interfast is one of the top 10 global aerospace fastener distributors with customers spread around the world, in Asia Pacific, Europe, North America, South America.
Interfast opened a European office in September 2009.
