Henkel at the FAST Live Exhibition!

Henkel’s ongoing commitment to the continuous development of both its products and methods of manufacture will again be in evidence at the upcoming FAST Live Exhibition.

FAST Live takes place on Thursday, 9 May, in The Silverstone Wing, Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire.

“Across all technologies, adhesives for bonding and sealing are being reformulated to provide new or improved characteristics to widen their scope of application,” commented Henkel, which can be located on Stand no. 57 at the exhibition.

A good example the company offers is LOCTITE 518, a product that was first introduced to overcome the problems associated with conventional pre-cut compression gaskets. This anaerobic adhesive can now cure through light surface contamination and works well on stainless steel and aluminium without an activator. “And it has also been made available in pen form that delivers the proven leak-fighting properties of LOCTITE 518 via a roller ball, making application easier than ever, with no waste and less mess,” Henkel points out.

Another illustration of Henkel innovation is its patented hybrid technology that harnesses the strengths of different adhesive technologies to provide a unique combination of characteristics. Indeed, it is the basis of the new-generation LOCTITE Universal Structural Bonders that combine bond strength, speedy cure and durability.

Currently, four different adhesives complete this range, each with its own distinguishing features and benefits.

“These bonders massively extend the scope of application for structural adhesives in both design and repair. The Universal Structural Bonders provide outstanding substrate versatility that allows greater design flexibility and simplified production processes. Fast fixturing increases throughput and minimises downtime, and their increased reliability and durability ensure the quality of the assembly or repair. Added to this, their health and safety credentials are improved, too.”
