tesa has identified the major influences on its business development, with technical advances and new marketing concepts at their centre.

tesa UK, headquartered in Milton Keynes, is a key player in the company’s European operations, with a significant stake in three major markets, and established as a pioneer of the tesacohesion customer service programme. In the UK, the business has recently reinvested in the development of its business with a programme across the marketing mix that includes increases in staffing, distributor training, events and exhibitions participation, new product development and high-impact point-of-sale.

Marketing manager of tesa UK, Jeremy Smith, says the UK business has enjoyed considerable support and backing from its Global HQ in Hamburg, particularly in the related areas of product development and R & D. “To further expand our technological expertise and invest in our growth, the organisation has completed some substantial investment projects. Among the most notable are an additional state-of-the-art laminating system for the production of foam adhesive tapes, targeted primarily at the electronics, automotive and solar industry sectors; also, the commissioning of our new technology and research centre in Hamburg, which is the hub of our global product development work.”

Over the last year, tesa has seen technical advances deliver benefits to customers in all market sectors.

In the industrial business, further developments of the tesa ACXplus range, which uses viscoelastic properties to provide effective bonding across dissimilar materials, widened its application coverage and extended its penetration into key industries such as manufacturing, construction, furniture, automotive and transport.
