Going for gold at London 2012

Moss Express says it provided a 'gold standard' level of customer service and product supply when a large control panel manufacturer, making electrical cabinets for lighting at the London 2012 Olympics, ran into stock supply problems.

Product sales manager Andrew Ford explained: "The company, which had previously bought electrical items such as cable glands, grommets and cable management products from Moss, turned to us for access hardware after experiencing difficulties with a lock and hinge supplier. Moss's new hardware range of IP65 quarter turn locks, lift off hinges, gaskets and handles enabled the company to complete the control panel to a very tight deadline." Moss's 3D CAD models are available free for designers and specifiers to download from the Moss Express website. They are available in the internationally used exchange format; STEP and Iges and can be used in any designer software. "The added dimension of the CAD system makes it as easy as possible for customers to identify the products they need, incorporate them into their designs and then receive the ordered parts in 24 hours," said Andrew. The access hardware components that Moss provided for the Olympics' electrical panels are part of a range of 1,500 products that will soon be expanded by a further 500 new products in September.
