Expansion of adhesive tape e-commerce business

The company has upgraded its website (www.vikingtapes.co.uk) "to make it easier for internet customers to do business", says managing director Colin Bennett. In particular, Viking is promoting its "close" cooperation with 3M. "In 2008 the company was appointed as a strategic partner with 3M in the development of its growing on-line e-commerce business". The revamped website is stated to feature detailed technical information on tapes, adhesives, packing materials, and industrial and safety products, and incorporates a dedicated help-line and an account creation facility that stores contact details and purchasing histories. Colin Bennett also reports that Viking is a "master distributor in the United Kingdom" for Glue Dots' permanent and removable adhesive dots.
