DURABLE PANEL LABEL IS A COST EFFECTIVE ALTERNATIVE TO ENGRAVING

1 min read

Cable marking and labelling expert Partex has launched two new ranges of durable panel labels, which offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional engraved labels.

Labels in the EPL range are designed for standard applications while those in the EPF range, which have London Underground approval, are low fire hazard types that are particularly well suited to applications in mass transit systems and public buildings.

Legends are applied to both EPL and EPF labels by thermal transfer printing, which produces results that are highly resistant to abrasion and degradation by environmental conditions such as exposure to heat and to high levels of UV radiation. The labels can be supplied ready printed to the customer's exact requirements, or blank for users to print themselves. Printers and ribbons supplied by Partex are recommended to ensure compatibility and optimum durability.

Type EPL labels are available in yellow, white and silver, with compatible printer ribbons. These labels are unaffected by exposure to temperatures of +100 ºC and -20 ºC for 1,000 hours. EPL labels are supplied on rolls for easy handling, in a wide range of sizes from 27 x 8 mm to 100 x 50 mm.

Type EPF labels, which are manufactured from zero-halogen, low-toxicity, self-extinguishing UV-stabilised polyolefin sheet are available in yellow and white, and are complemented by black printer ribbons. They have an extended temperature range of -40 to +105 ºC, and can withstand temperatures as high as +175 ºC for short periods. They are available in sizes from 45 x 15 mm to 100 x 50 mm and, like the EPL labels, they are supplied on rolls.
