Cooke Brothers has released details of an important investment in both capital equipment and recruitment. The company has acquired a new Trumpf TruMatic 6000 laser punch press and has also purchased the latest Trumpf 5000 series TruBend press-brake with versatile forming capabilities. And to support the company's sales effort, Cooke Brothers has appointed two technical sales professionals to make best use of the new investment.

The investment in the latest state of the art equipment is designed to provide enhanced capability, the company says. The new equipment will extend the company's already extensive range of laser punch press, machining, presswork, tool making, 3D Cad design, development and in-house testing facilities. The new additions to the sales team are Tim Saunders DipGAI, who has been appointed specification sales executive and Rajan Sudera, who holds a first class honours degree in engineering design and manufacturing processes and joins the company as a technical sales engineer. With a manufacturing history spanning more than one hundred and forty years, Cooke Brothers believes is well placed to provide an extensive range of product design, development and engineering services. The company currently supplies a wide portfolio of prestigious customers in automotive, heating, aerospace, white goods, architectural, healthcare and electrical markets. Recent projects have included high volume precision presswork components, custom made assemblies, high performance hinge applications, laser punch parts plus a wide range of bespoke products and fittings.
