An engineering design consultancy called Pevotech has been launched to offer bespoke solutions to a range of vehicle manufacturers across several different sectors.

The brainchild of steering systems manufacturer Pailton Engineering, Pevotech is offering a full technical service right through from the initial design concept to product validation, project-managing production along the way. Pailton has won a roll call of blue chip customers in the bus, truck, public service and military sectors and claims a reputation for flexibility, short lead times and engineering excellence. The company has developed considerable expertise in working closely with its customers, often from the design stage. And with this range of technical solutions, Pevotech is ready to become a true technical partner catering for the specialist vehicle market. The consultancy will offer finite element analysis and strain gauge testing in addition to rapid prototyping, computer aided design and physical testing including a product validation service for additive layer 3D metal printed items. Pevotech's first customer was Dennis Eagle, the manufacturer of refuse collection vehicles, based in Warwick. The consultancy conducted strain gauge testing of parts for the new chassis for Dennis Eagle's new Euro 6 compliant vehicle. Pailton's customers include JCB, Dennis Eagle, DAF Trucks, Scania, Caterpillar, BAe Systems, Force Protection and the King Abdullah II Design & Development Bureau in Jordan.
