Compact rotary latch features dual trigger actuation

Southco recently expanded its line of latching solutions with the launch of the R4-10 rotary latch with dual trigger. This latest rotary latch features a compact design which provides multiple points of actuation, allowing the latch to be triggered by two independent actuators.

Dual actuation points and its compact size make the latch an ideal solution for doors and panels which require actuation from multiple positions, the company claims, facilitating access when entering or exiting through a door or when accessing a larger panel or piece of equipment from two separate points.

As the smallest latch available in the R4-10 Series, the Dual Trigger occupies minimal space within the enclosure, providing concealed latching and increased security, Southco says.

Constructed from corrosion-resistant steel, the latches are available with an integrated bumper feature, and single or two-stage latching, and are well suited for a broad range of application environments across industries. And the products can be combined with mechanical and electronic actuators and cables for a complete rotary latching system.

Global product manager James Stroud commened: “The dual trigger actuation provided by Southco’s newest addition to our R4 Rotary Latch Series simplifies rotary door systems and improves end user operation when actuating or opening an access panel from multiple positions.”
