Clamp ensures robust connection in demanding environments

Norma Group, has developed a fluid connections clamp that uses rubber or silicone hoses in high-pressure applications, for instance in coolant and air lines. The Breeze Super-Seal clamp features a worm-drive closure mechanism with a high adjustability range and a high pressure double-bead profile, which prevents leakages and securely fastens it to the hose.

As temperatures and pressures increase, customers from various industries such as passenger and commercial vehicles, agricultural and construction equipment, marine and many more, need clamps that will resist leaks in harsher environments. The new Breeze Super-Seal clamp is equipped with two high pressure sealing lines, which prevent leakage and secure the hose, thus providing a 360-degree seal. In addition, a recessed hardware attachment supports the seal. Breeze Super-Seal is characterised by a high spring force to maintain clamp load during joint contraction. Its worm-drive closure allows customers to use a single part number on a larger range of connection diameters, consequently reducing stock for various applications. Since no special tools are needed for installation, the assembly of the clamp is quick and easy and helps to save time and money. "We have combined the proven technology of our existing Norma CC clamps for charge air applications with the technology of the Breeze High-Torque and Constant-Torque clamps to develop Breeze Super-Seal," said Werner Deggim, group CEO. "The clamp offers our customers a high degree of security in critical environments." Available worldwide from July 2014, the Breeze Super-Seal clamp with or without Belleville washer can be applied on rubber or silicone hoses in diameters from 34mm to 102mm. The optional Belleville washer can be used on hoses with higher compression set to maintain adequate clamp load as the joint diameter contracts.
