Ball transfer units suit assembly systems

WDS has launched a new and extended range of ball transfer units which are suitable for use in many assembly and conveying applications. The range features different mounting options as well as a choice of materials and load carrying capacities.
The products are all feature in the latest WDS catalogue and can be used for loading or feeding machines, moving goods or materials, as an alternative to a roller or in a form of linear operation. The range is available in zinc plated steel or stainless steel combinations and a number of mounting options are available, catering to most standard designs.
The products are available as either surface mounting ball transfer units, recess mount ball transfer units or spring loaded ball transfer units. They are claimed suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications in a number of industries, including manufacturing, food processing and warehousing. Ball diameters vary between 12.7mm and 50.8mm with maximum load capacities reaching nearly a tonne.
The complete WDS catalogue features over 15,000 standard parts for machine build and workholding products and is accessible online at the website where customers can place orders and download fully annotated 3D files of standard parts – including the full range of ball transfer units to suit most currently supported 3D Cad packages.
