3M chooses distributor channel to the bearing market
Diversified technology company 3M has linked up with one of the bearing sector's leading distributors to supply its Scotch-Weld range of engineering adhesives.
Scotch-Weld products which include instant adhesives, threadlockers, pipe sealants, gasket adhesives and cleaning products will now be sold through Godiva Bearings. The products are suited to a wide range of industrial applications including vehicle repair and maintenance, engineering services and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO).
Godiva Bearings was founded in 1977 and operates from facilities in Shepperton, Dudley and Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is thought to be the UK's largest 'trade-only' supplier of bearings.
Faye Wilson of 3M's Industrial Adhesives & Tapes Division commented: "The Scotch-Weld range has been specifically developed for demanding engineering and manufacturing environments and so the link with Godiva is a natural one given their own prowess in supplying the needs of the UK's major bearing distributors."
