Low temperature advantage

Liquid adhesives have many advantages in comparison with traditional non-liquid film type adhesives, especially those used for sandwich panel manufacturing

Products bonded with liquid adhesives, such as Intact P205, from KMS Adhesives, can perform down to temperatures of -40ºC, making them ideal for insulated building boards, cold store, caravan and mobile home manufacturing. Applied via either nozzle or roller, the adhesive bonds to almost any surface, even concrete and is therefore used extensively throughout the construction industry, where efficiency is key, but safety is paramount. A moisture curing polyurethane, Intact P205 is non-solvent and fast setting providing a water and heat resistant bond to a multitude of materials including expanded polystyrene foam, polyurethane foam, cork, rock, wool, steel, aluminium, plastic, cement bound sheet material, plasterboard and wood. Another adhesive in the Intact portfolio has been specifically formulated for furniture manufacturers. When extra bond security is required, particularly in adverse conditions, Intact W357 offers speed of setting without compromising security. Being unfilled and of high solids, this weatherproof wood adhesive dries to form a handling strength bond quicker than comparative products on the market. The product dries clear and is suitable for cold and hot pressing and being both impact and creep resistant, it's ideal for sustained load requirements, such as chair and bed frames. The use of a higher performance adhesive helps to speed and enhance the production process, which leads to lowered costs, as productivity is greatly enhanced.
